Camille Peterson was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago, remained
in Illinois throughout her childhood, and for several years after
graduating Summa Cum Laude from Saint Louis University in May, 1989.
She has been a member of Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society
since 1988.
Camille began her career at the Rehabilitation Institute of
Chicago, where she continued to develop expertise in rehabilitation of
neurological and orthopedic conditions, participate in research, and
various teaching opportunities. She moved to the Upper Peninsula of
Michigan in 1992 where she continued to practice in multiple areas of
physical therapy including consultation for persons with developmental
disabilities, home health, pediatrics, as well as developing her
private practice clinic, specializing in work injury management and
prevention, obstetric and gynecological physical therapy, treatment of
chronic headaches and myofascial related pain. She has completed
multiple continuing education courses in women’s health (Pregnancy and
Postpartum, pelvic floor, musculoskeletal dysfunctions of the lumbar
spine & pelvis), ergonomics, orthopedics, and pediatrics.
She is currently working towards obtaining her transitional Doctor
of Physical Therapy degree.
Understanding that physical
conditions affect not only the body but the mind and spirit, she
welcomes the chance to work as part of the team in a complimentary
fashion.
Camille and her husband, Buck, reside on the Peterson family farm
in Crystal Falls with their two sons Hunter and Max. Her pastimes
include reading, riding horses, coaching soccer, enjoying her family,
the outdoors, and attempting to coax a garden into growing.
