 Adam Ryan was born in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan and
raised in Marquette, Michigan. The son of Connie Hedmark, M.D., a
well respected Ob-Gyn physician in the Marquette area, Dr. Ryan
learned first hand the characteristics of a caring doctor.Dr. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the Michigan Technological University in 1994. He then attended Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine and earned his Medical Degree in 1998. Afterward, he trained for four years at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, OH completing residency in Ob-Gyn. Dr. Ryan has excellent experience in routine and high-risk obstetrics, all areas of gynecology and gynecologic surgery including advanced operative laparoscopic surgery and laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy, operative hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation. He also has particular training and experience in treating pelvic prolapse, urinary incontinence and performing pelvic reconstructive surgery. He lives with his wife Kristy, a native of Niagara, WI and their four children: Logan, Madeline, Elizabeth and Charlotte. He enjoys spending time with his family; especially in the outdoors. He also enjoys playing ice hockey, biking, skiing and reading.
